If you are into cars, and would like to get a sneak peek at the newest designs in the auto world, the San Diego International Auto Show at the San Diego Convention Center is the place that you want to be December 29, 2011 through January 1, 2012. Hosted by the New Car Dealers Association, the San Diego auto show features cars from all of the major manufactures, plus a host of events for adults and kids alike.
Fireball Tim’s Hollywood garage features popular vehicles from a slew of films and TV shows, the Ride and Drive events offer the opportunity to get into the cars and see how the function instead of just ogling from afar, and Mazda Family Day on January 1st provides free admission to kids under twelve with a paying adult.
If you are less into cars than you are sports, you may spend a lot of time in the Geico-sponsored Power Sports Pavilion, which showcases southern California’s numerous sporting opportunities. And, if you want to see something you may never have seen before, check out the street legal bumper cars on display. These sweet-looking cars were designed as bumper cars, but have all of the necessary components to be driven on the street as well.
